Hi. I’m Karen and I want to share with you something that I have become passionate about! I love silverware!!
It is so rewarding to take a piece of silverware and transform it into beautiful and unique jewellery. I’ll take your tarnished utensil and bring it not only back to life, but to a new life. I will repurpose it into wearable art and other amazing gifts. Your family silverware will no longer be hidden in a box or drawer; they will be part of your apparel or made into something that will be regularly used. They will be a wonderful reminder of your loved ones and your heritage. Maybe your family doesn’t have a set of silverware.... no problem! I have a beautiful collection of silverware for you to choose from. As an artisan I gather many different silverware patterns and am inspired by the potential of what lies behind the original purpose and reinventing it so it can be reused. Each piece is handcrafted... cutting, drilling, bending and polishing. |
Take time to browse through the Gallery and perhaps there are items that speak to you and say. ‘That’s so cool!’ Or maybe you want to dust off that heirloom silverware and have me design keepsake pieces commissioned especially for you and your family, echoing your family heritage.
I have been inspired to create some unique and beautiful pieces of art from silverware. I hope you enjoy viewing all the designs in the Gallery. Your questions and comments are always welcomed.

HISTORY OF SILVERWARE
Every piece of silverware was created by an artisan in the 1800-1900’s through the process of sketching the design, building a mould, pouring and finishing the silverware. With over 1700 patterns created, it became an heirloom that was passed from generation to generation.
Silverware was often a wedding gift for couples beginning their life together and was a central and integral part of family celebrations & conversations. Just imagine the stories if silverware could talk!
With the arrival of stainless steel utensils, the cherished silverware became a thing of the past. Now Grandma’s well-loved, well-used silverware may have been passed down but sits forgotten and collecting dust.
